Professional Background

Hi!  I’m Giselle, aka “Coach Giselle” or “Coach G.”  I’m a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and have over 14 years of experience assisting and coaching clients toward achieving their health and fitness goals.  I’m also an NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist and an ACE Certified Health Coach.  I’m passionate about helping my clients find the right elements of health and fitness that truly fit their individual needs, and bring out the best in them!  Early in my career, I was voted “Best Personal Trainer” in the Honolulu Weekly when I was living in Hawaiiand have now been based in the Bay Area in California for the past 8 years.  I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients from ages 11-84, from newbies to athletes, pageant contestants to military personnel, brides-to-be to new moms, and more.  In addition to our Daily Nourish company, I’m proud to be a fitness expert and trainer for Google, Stanford University School of Medicine, and Technogym.

As an avid runner for more than 17 years, I’ve also coached clients to run their first races from 5k to marathons, and have even run many of these races alongside them.  I truly love to support and celebrate each of my clients’ accomplishments!  Additionally, I’ve been an athlete in various sports for most of my life, was a professional cheerleader and dancer for 4 years, and love any activity I can do in the ocean and the great outdoors.  I use these experiences to provide variety in my clients’ programs.  I also love TRX Suspension Training, which I have 3 certifications in, and have been teaching this fitness modality for over 10 years for various health clubs, private studios, Google, and for the Stanford University School of Medicine’s staff.

I firmly believe that movement and exercise not only strengthen our bodies, they also relax and center our minds, and toughen our spirits!  With passion and experience, I will help you find your inner athlete!

Get To Know Me

Who says P.E. was their favorite class as a kid?  That would be me!  I’ve always been passionate about fitness in some way, shape or form.  From a young age, I was always very active.  I was a gymnast, a dancer, and an athlete playing various team sports in school like volleyball, softball and basketball to name a few.  In high school I discovered my love for cheerleading.  I think I was even late to one of my softball games freshman year, because I decided to tryout for the varsity cheer team!  Y’know what?  It was worth it, because I made the team, and little did I know at the time that becoming a cheerleader would be a life-changing event for me.  My first year, I became an NCA All-American Cheerleader and later, cheer captain for my high school.  I even got to tour Australia as a CA All-Star Cheerleader at the end of my senior year.  All the hours and days I spent practicing, and going to gymnastics and dance classes were worth all the sweat and hard work, because they really made me realize how passionate I was about fitness and being an athlete.  Plus, all of that lead me to becoming a professional cheerleader & dancer for 4 years.

After graduating from college, I realized pretty quickly that I wasn’t happy sitting at a desk in front of a computer all day, and I knew that I wanted to make an impact on people’s lives and still somehow draw from my passion for fitness and sports.  It was a natural fit when I decided to pursue a career in the fitness industry.  I wanted to share my passion and help people work towards their goals, become better versions of themselves, build confidence and strength, and improve their overall quality of life.

Since 2006, I’ve been working as a fitness professional who truly loves her job and never stops learning!  I’ve worked for large commercial health clubs and private fitness studios, in corporate fitness, and in international fitness trade shows and conferences.  My career has taken me from Hawaii to Southern and Northern California, as well as around the world.  I’m proud to be a personal trainer and fitness instructor for Google and Stanford University School of Medicine, a Technogym Master Trainer, a TRX instructor, and of course, co-founder of Daily Nourish with my husband, David!  We truly love sharing our passion for health & fitness, and helping our clients crush their goals!
